Lighten up is an alternative halloween party being put on this October by the churches in Thame for primary and junior school aged children. Having had a successful launch last year, this years party is promising to be bigger and better than ever with an additional venue and interest already being shown.

It's been great to see how popular Lighthouse is in Thame and the surrounding villages and Lighten up offers an event near the beginning of the new term where similar fun, games, mess and a positive Christian message can be experienced and many leaders from Lighthouse caught up with.

Lighten up is running between 5:45 and 8:30pm on Sunday 30th October with staggered start and finish times for the younger group (years 1-3) and the older group (years 4-6) to allow for easy drop off and collection. The party itself will feature food, inflatables, party games, music, craft and much more besides and offers the chance for children and young people to have a great night out in a safe environment with a positive message about how to be brave when we feel afraid and why God doesn't want us to be scared!

Your child should receive a flyer to bring home during the Lighthouse week and booking forms and further information are available from lightenupparty@yahoo.co.uk or by phoning Ulrike on 01844 216924. The party costs £3 per child to attend which includes all their food, refreshments and craft as well as all the fun of the party! Book early to avoid disappointment!
