Coming soon ... Love Thame

Plans are coming together for series of events in March 2010, under the banner "Love Thame". Organised collaboratively by several joint churches, these events aim to serve the local community and share the good news of Jesus Christ at the heart of the community.

Plans include a Community Action Day (20 March), 'Lunchbar' meetings (24-26 March) and a Jazz Dinner (26 March).

Community Action day
Saturday 20 March | from 10.00am

Thame Churches United are launching a Community Action Day when members of your local churches will be helping out with various projects in the local area and working for some of the most needy in the community.

Lunchbar events
Wednesday 24 - Friday 26 March | 12.30-1.30pm | Thame Barns Centre

Join us for one or all of our free lunches and have your questions answered:

  • Weds: I love my life - why do I need God?
  • Thurs: Does God love Haiti - how can you believe in a God of love with so much suffering in the world?
  • Fri: Can God love me or have I gone too far?
(On Friday there will also be supervised activities for children 0 - 4 years old)

Jazz Dinner
Friday 26 March | 7.30pm | Barley Hill School

Come and enjoy delicious food, great music and an engaging after dinner speaker Krish Kandiah will be speaking on: How to save a life - is Jesus really the answer?
