LightenUp 2011 - hold the date!


LightenUp 2011: Halloween but like you've never seen it!
Inflatables, music, games. Sunday 30 October 2011. Y1-3 at Barns Centre, 5.45-8.15pm; Y4-6 in St Marys Church, 6.00-8.30pm. More info soon!

Lighten up is an alternative halloween party being put on this October by the churches in Thame for primary and junior school aged children. Having had a successful launch last year, this years party is promising to be bigger and better than ever with an additional venue and interest already being shown.

 

Street Pastors Thame

Launched on 24 September 2010, Thame Street Pastors are new initiative to serve the Thame community. Part of national organisation Street Pastors (www.streetpastors.co.uk), we offer an inter-denominational Church response to anti-social and late night street problems, engaging with people on the streets to care, listen and dialogue.

 

Lighthouse 2010

Coming soon ... Love Thame

Plans are coming together for series of events in March 2010, under the banner "Love Thame". Organised collaboratively by several joint churches, these events aim to serve the local community and share the good news of Jesus Christ at the heart of the community.

Plans include a Community Action Day (20 March), 'Lunchbar' meetings (24-26 March) and a Jazz Dinner (26 March).

 

Christmas 2009

As well as being a great time for family and friends, Christmas is a major event in the Christian calendar, when we celebrate te birth of Jesus Christ.

1,000 happy customers at Lighthouse Thame 2009?

Lighthouse Thame 2009 started today, with 673 pre-registered for 4-11s. We had another 20 who registered on the door today, and 175 parents+toddlers, so at this rate we're heading for 1,000 happy customers this week, not including the 300+ helpers.

Lighthouse and kidzklub at Thame Festival 2009

We're planning to be at the Thame Festival! The Lighthouse and kidzklub teams will be partnering to run a run a mini-kidzklub, complete with communitycafe and face painting toddlers. Mini-kidzklub will be a repeating 15-minute programme of mainstage fun, open to regular kidzklub kids, as well as any other primary age kids who want to check us out!
